The E-Konek VASP System has been upgraded to provide brokers the following facilitation functions:

• Print "Importer Notification Slips"

Some importers, in order to immediately raise funds for payment of duties and taxes due on their import shipments, require brokers to provide advance assessment information. Now, brokers do not need to separately calculate taxes and duties due and print, "Importer Notification Slips" because the upgraded E-Konek VASP System allows the detailed computation of taxes and duties to be printed for immediate submission to their client-importers.

• Save brokers' time and effort by eliminating the need for brokers to manually accomplish BOC-issued IEIRD Forms

Brokers can directly compose and encode Declarations into the VASP System and, after successful lodgement of the Declarations, print IEIRDs including the required Customs Reference Numbers, using BOC-issued IEIRD Forms and dot matrix printers.

• For SGL-qualified importers, print complete SGL-PSADs

The upgraded E-Konek VASP System now allows brokers to completely print SGL-PSADs for SGL-qualified importer-clients including the "Back Page" which contains details of the brokerage, wharfage, arrastre and other import fees and charges as well as customs duties and taxes assessed on the import shipments.

The up-grade demonstrates E-Konek's commitment to continuously improve its VASP System towards enhancing service efficiency and client convenience at the most reasonable cost possible.
