Education

Technical Expertise:
• Extensive knowledge of Solaris and LINUX system administration, VMware Virtualization and enterprise storage management.
• A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues.
• LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks).
• Advanced knowledge shell scripting and troubleshooting of Apache/NGINX Web Server, PHP/Tomcat Application Server and Oracle/Mysql/PostgreSQL/MongoDB Database Systems.
• Working knowledge of web and client server application security, understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
• Certificated training on systems administration is preferred.

Job Summary
To provide overall support to the Investment Promotion Agency assigned and their Locators inside the Freeport and Economic Zone regarding the efficient operation and selling of e-Konek VASP systems for Cross Border Flow of Goods and other managed services facilities that may be implemented as well as spearhead the expansion of e-Konek client base nation-wide.
1. The incumbent shall create pipeline list, set-up new accounts, maintain existing clients and supervises the region’s Customer Support and Help Desk. For this purpose, Incumbent shall be assigned to the particular Freeport or Economic Zone to perform the work detailed below:
a. Manage the requirements of the assigned Investment Promotion Agency, offer insightful solutions to their unrecognized needs;
b. Provide research and resolve client requests for assistance or trouble shooting in the use of the VASP and other Managed Services applications and refer more complex and unresolved problems to e-Konek Helpdesk and/or senior technical staff;
c. Answer satisfactorily clients’ or prospective clients’ inquiries regarding operations of the VASP and other Managed Services Applications from Marketing to Billing / Collection / Prepayment matters;
d. Manage and update Leads and Opportunities via CRM
e. Monitor problems from client calls and by maintaining trouble logs or Issues through the ANTS System and Clockify App
2. Conducts and supervises hands-on initial and refresher trainings for customer users including procedures involved whenever needed, as in change of business unit or deployment of new versions of the numerous VASP Application Software or other e-Konek Managed Services products and services.
3. Coordinates and supervises roll-out of applications and upgrades with customers and the implementation team on matters of scheduling, customer authorization, customer’ facility readiness, user nomination, etc.
4. Communicates to e-Konek Management all major problems encountered with regards to software/hardware, policy, implementation politics and consistently follow-up for feedback and solutions.
5. Conducts regular visit to new and existing customers and other operational sites to check if all equipments are in good working condition.
a. Compliance to the agreed / signed KPI.
b. Maintains proper inventory of all equipment that may be installed at the client or sites that have e-Konek facilities (e.g. CCA scanner, PC units, etc.) by updating reports regularly and by conducting physical inventory on a semiannual basis.
6. Reports all plans, activities and developments to immediate superior on a weekly basis.
7. Conduct collection follow ups for Managed Services Systems as well us encouraging Clients to fund their Prepayment Accounts and other tasks as maybe assigned by immediate superior regarding concerns of the Operations group.
8. Forward billing documents to clients, monitor and update billing and collection information as well as collect payments of clients under the incumbent’s responsibility if needed.
9. Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the Senior Manager for Freeport and Ecozones.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
To provide overall technical management and expertise in the operation and maintenance of e-Konek databases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning, designing, installing and configuring database systems.
• Managing and maintaining database logins, groups and permissions to ensure data security.
• Coordinating with the System Administrator to automate database routine tasks.
• Monitoring database processes, sessions, locks, database logs and disk utilization.
• Fine tuning of database parameters and configuration to obtain optimum database performance.
• Troubleshooting database problems and performance issues and providing appropriate resolution.
• Performing regular database backup and ensure that the backup files are of good quality by conducting a periodic restore and recovery of existing database backup sets.
• Designing and regularly executing data archive scripts to save disk space and improve performance of production databases.
• Planning, designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery system.
• Providing regular updates to the Director of Managed Services Group on all operational issues that require immediate attention.
• Coordinate with the Technical and Functional QA Analyst and Development team to schedule releases of new programs, software updates, enhancements and fixes on the database systems.
• Coordinate with the System Administrator on the set up and configuration of Virtual Machines needed for the installation and set up of new database systems.
Educational Requirements:

Working Conditions
The employee will be working in an office and field set-up.
Minimum Requirements:
• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least two (2) years’ experience as Supervisor in Sales, Marketing or similar environment.
• Preferably with Customs/Logistics background. Good oral communication skills and capable of writing in clear and precise English.
• Proficient in officeproductivity software like MS Word, Excel, Power Point, other Microsoft Windows software, and Open Office.
